Clearview Global - Focused Performance. Clear Results.

On Saturday, November 8, 2008, a carefully planned power upgrade was successfully completed at the Clearview ND ITG in Dallas, Texas. Clearview personnel carefully coordinated with Oncor to insure that the six-hour commercial power outage to the entire office complex would not affect any of the data center customers operating in our facility. Through the efforts of over thirty people on Saturday, Clearview was able to cut from commercial power to diesel generator power, upgrade utility provided transformer equipment, and then cut back over to commercial power without incident. Clearview took numerous precautions for this effort. In addition to developing contingency plans with Oncor, Clearview had an additional diesel generator onsite to serve as a backup for the two existing ones and the cooling capacity in the data center was significantly increased to protect against a temperature spike if a contingency plan had to be executed. This new service upgrade was completed without incident and the increased power capacity available at the Clearview data center will enable Clearview to better serve the needs of both current and future data center tenants.
