What they asked for:
Lykes Pasco, Inc., a leading orange juice manufacturer, was suffering from lower-than-expected production numbers. When they came to Clearview Management Consultants, LLC (CMC) for help, they attributed the inefficiencies of their production line to a lack of communication between individual departments and a lack of accountability across much of the manufacturing organization.
What they sought from CMC was a way to introduce Service Level Management to their internal organization as a way to add accountability and increase production performance. Additionally, they needed a quick solution -- they wanted results in four weeks.
What we did for them:
- Interviewed key individuals from different departments to determine what deliverables were produced by each department, identify current business rules and procedures. CMC used this information to map an existing comprehensive set of process flows.
- Identified initial service levels including critical control points, performance measurements, interface measurements and responsibilities.
- Recommended business rules, processes and procedures, including an Action and Responsibilities Matrix.
- Designed a Next Level Process Flow and Service Definitions for each department which included overview of service, summary of activities and a "target" for each activity -- a measurable service level.
- Assisted Lykes Pasco establish a buyer-supplier relationship between individual departments.
